Looking to really amp up your decorations? Build an archway! These can be simply painted and constructed to match any theme!

Materials:

  • 6 Large (4.5) Moving Boxes
  • Wardrobe box or mattress box (Many movers take away these larger boxes for your comfort. If your relocation is coming up, be certain to request your moving company to not remove these large boxes!)
  • Spray Paint (Whatever colors match your style)
  • Tape
  • Scissors or Box Cutter

Instructions:

  • Arrange the 6 large moving boxes. Color them as desired. We chose a combination of black and gray to give a stone and brick appearance.
  • While those are drying, trace your wanted pattern on the flattened wardrobe or mattress box. This is for the top part that connects the two stacks of moving boxes (pillars) together.
  • Using a box cutter or scissors, CAUTIOUSLY! Cut out that design.
  • Paint and decorate the top joining pieces.
  • Once dry, pile the large moving boxes on each other to create two pillars. Attach tape to all of the joints. Paint the tape for a perfect look.
  • Tape the top bridge part to the front and top of the two pillars.

*Tip- Add bricks or books to the inner portion of the bottom moving boxes to improve stability and support to your build.
